Legion Equity uses a curated access model, so not everyone can join immediately. This article walks through the paths in, what to expect at each step, and how onboarding works.
Ways to access the platform
There are a few paths to access:
Golden ticket from a beta user: guarantees access. Existing beta users have a limited number to send.
Direct invitation from an existing member
Waitlist at uselegion.com/waitlist. You progress based on your reputation, social signals, and referral quality
High social score: a strong public presence in finance, tech, or investing can let you skip the waitlist entirely
Onboarding steps
Once you have access:
Create your basic profile: name, email, basic info
Connect social accounts: Twitter and/or LinkedIn helps establish your reputation on the platform
Verify your identity through Persona, Legion's verification partner
Optional next steps: accreditation verification, proof of funds, and credibility uploads, depending on which deals you're interested in
You don't need to do everything at once. The platform uses progressive disclosure, so extra documentation is only required when you apply for specific deals or syndicates that ask for it. Profile completion past 40% unlocks golden tickets you can send to others.
What you'll need for identity verification
A government-issued photo ID (passport or driver's license)
Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement)
A selfie / liveness check
Identity verification is handled by Persona. Legion operates under SEC Rule 506(b), where accreditation is self-certified — a specific deal may request supporting documentation.
How long onboarding takes
Basic profile setup: minutes
Identity verification: typically 1-2 business days (longer if Persona routes to manual review)
Optional accreditation verification (when required): depends on the documentation you provide
I'm in the waitlist tier and can't see deals: why?
Deals and syndicates are visible once you've progressed to full access. To advance:
Complete more of your profile
Connect your Twitter and LinkedIn
Use referral links to bring in other quality members (referrer reputation matters)
Engage with the platform
The reputation system considers social presence, referral network, milestones reached, and platform engagement.
What happens if identity verification is rejected?
A few things to try:
Check that your documents are clear, not expired, and match your profile information exactly
Try resubmitting with a different document type
