0% carry, 0% management fee, deals at cost: how Legion's community investment group works
Zero/Zero is the community investment group on Legion, led by Legion's founders. The name is literal: 0% carry and 0% management fee. Deals are sourced through the Legion community and run at cost. The allocation the group wins is the allocation you get.
How it works
Zero/Zero is simple: request the companies you want to invest in, or bring an allocation you can source. If enough people show interest, it becomes a deal for the group. The group is led by Legion's founders, Matthew O'Connor and Fabrizio Giabardo.
When a deal runs through Zero/Zero:
No management fee. There is no annual fee for being in the deal.
No carry. The group takes no share of your profits.
At cost. You invest on the same terms the group secured.
How to take part
There are three ways to shape what the group invests in, all from the Allocation Requests section on the Deals page:
Request a company. Add an equity request for a company you want to invest in.
Back a request. Mark yourself interested in a company someone else has requested.
Bring an allocation. If you have access to an allocation in a company, let the group know you can source it.
Membership
All Legion equity investors have been added to Zero/Zero. Check Groups in the app: you'll find it under My Groups. If you don't see it, reach out via chat and we'll flag it for the team.
Membership is optional. You can leave the group anytime from its page, though leaving means you won't see the deals that run through it.
Where the deals appear
When a deal runs through Zero/Zero, it appears in your Deals tab like any other deal: a deal room with the terms, documents, minimum, and timeline. Investing works exactly as described in How to invest in a deal. New deals are announced in the app and by email.
